Also on Monday, August 2nd, 1:00 to 3:00 pm, via Zoom, you can watch the Nevada Advisory Committee on Participatory Democracy meeting. The meeting will be broadcast on Facebook Live through the Secretary of State’s Facebook page.  Deputy Secretary of State Mark Wlaschin will review the top election-related bills that passed in the 2021 legislative session and their implementation.  This includes AB321. On Wednesday, August 4th, 6-7:30 pm, via Zoom, our topic is Redistricting Software Training.  We will introduce the redistricting software our legislators will use to draw our district maps in October.  Anyone with a computer will be able to access this software. On Saturday, August 28th, 9-10:30 am, via Zoom, we have a follow up panel discussion for our Starting a Small Business or Nonprofit and Applying for Grants workshop.  Our panelists are Michelle Chan from CSN’s Nevada Grow Program (https://www.csn.edu/nvgrow), Senator Pat Spearmen, NSHE Regent Laura Perkins, and former Assemblywoman Ellen Spiegel.  The panel will discuss ways we can support and grow our small business and nonprofit ecosystem.
