Vote Nevada Supporters,
The National Alliance on Mental Illness compiled an explanation of a new crisis response program that will be rolled out by July of 2022. It is the 988 number to call when someone is having a mental health crisis to request a mental health team, not law enforcement.

We had a good first redistricting software training session Wednesday evening. The Legislature purchased software to draw our next redistricting maps that allows anyone with a computer or tablet to draw maps with the census data and to evaluate drawn maps. I put the meeting recording and links to the resources we reviewed here:

We have two more meetings this month so you can still RSVP.
Our next meeting is August 14th, 9-10:30 am, via Zoom. We will review the laws for running for office as a nonpartisan in Nevada. Our nonpartisan voter registration is steadily climbing, so I want to ensure that nonpartisan Nevadans know they can run for office too. You can RSVP here: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZEpf-GhrDsoG9IjM0JV9-jmvA0SMXkdXylK
The second meeting is August 28th, 9-10:30 am, via Zoom. We are revisiting the inclusive economic development theme with a panel discussion. Our panelists are Michelle Chan, CSN Nevada Grow Counselor, Laura Perkins, NSHE Regent, Senator Pat Spearman, and Assemblywoman Ellen Spiegel. We will focus on ensuring no one is left out or behind in this latest round of economic development. You can RSVP here: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZEvdumqqDMrGd0QU1Y7KQ19YEwmyJo83U78
Thank you for being Nevadans with me,
Sondra
