There are some important upcoming events:

On Tuesday, March 8th, from 9 to 10 a.m., the Integrated Workforce Development Subcommittee of the Statewide Independent Living Council is meeting with Sonny Vinuya, who is the new chief of the Lt. Governor’s Office for Small Business Advocacy. 

This is the new entity created with Assembly Bill 184 in the 2021 legislative session.  If you are interested in learning more about this new office, the meeting is open to the public.  You can access the agenda and Zoom link here:

On Wednesday, March 9th, the Governor’s Budget Kickoff starts at 9 am.  You can access the meeting links and live-stream here:

The lawsuit filed against the new redistricting maps has a hearing on March 9th.

A new civics organization for veterans is kicking off their Nevada outreach campaign on March 16th, at 6 p.m., it’s open to the public. RSVP here:


On March 22nd, from 2 to 4 pm, you can watch the Advisory Committee on Participatory Democracy’s quarterly meeting through the Secretary of State’s Facebook page: Deputy Secretary of State for Elections, Mr. Mark Wlaschin, will review the new election laws being implemented this election cycle.
