LWVN Legislative Action Alert
A bill to change our appointed elections officials into elected officers, SB118, has been scheduled for a hearing on Monday, February 11, at 4:00 pm. Please contact members of the Senate Legislative Operations Committee to ask that we not change how Nevada administers and manages voter registration and elections. We need less political influence over voter registration and election administration, not more. This bill is addressing problems that do not exist and could lead to partisan manipulations we’ve seen in other states appearing in Nevada.
You can read the bill here: https://www.leg.state.nv.us/App/NELIS/REL/80th2019/Bill/6117/Overview
