Sex Trafficking In Clark County

Thanks to everyone who attended our March 19th meeting on Sex Trafficking in Clark County.  We had two really great presentations. Sgt. Ericcson from LVMPD offered some sobering details on sex trafficking and Stacey Cramer from the Salvation Army’s Seeds of Hope provided some useful information on how to help sex trafficking victims.

Here is Stacey’s presentation: Recognizing Victims of Human Trafficking

Anyone who is interested in attending the next Nevada Human Trafficking Task Force meeting, it’s on Thursday April 28th from 1pm to 3pm at LVMPD at 400 Martin Luther King Blvd. Building B.

Water Resources

Thanks to everyone who came to our meeting on Water, Drought, and Urban planning. We learned A LOT in just an hour thanks to the great presentations by Southern Nevada Water Authority’s Bronson Mack and Great Basin Water Network’s Howard Watts III.

I’ve added the resources discussed today to a new feature on our webpage. Through Storify we can now add website links and other social media posts directly to our committee pages; so I’ve added the water resource links to our Environmental Committee.

We’ll be doing this for all of our committees as we move forward with our efforts to keep the Las Vegas Valley informed and ready to improve our community.
