Federal Pandemic Relief Funding Disbursement & Accountability

Here is information regarding compliance and accountability measures in place to govern how the Rescue Plan dollars are spent.  It appears that every governing body and agency that will receive Rescue Plan funding (not grants, which are included in the Rescue Plan) is required to accept public input, such as this form on the Nevada State Treasurer’s website: https://hal.nv.gov/form/2021_Stimulus/ARP_Ideas_List_Community_Stakeholder, or similar to these town hall meetings https://www.clarkcountynv.gov/news_detail_T28_R456.php.

But it is not clear whether state agencies that will receive grants through the Rescue Plan will be required to accept public feedback.  Nor is it clear whether the public will know exactly how the Rescue Plan funds are spent.  The reporting that will go to the federal government is not guaranteed to be accessible to the public.

To ensure we can have our voices heard now, I created a Google Doc and Spreadsheet where we can all contribute dates and times for public comment meetings, interim legislative hearings, or agency meetings.  Please also share any reporting information you may come across here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kzC7udNfmbRqlYCytfGLaQ3XlG1fUYARX557fuqB-TA/edit?usp=sharing
