Here are the bills Vote Nevada is current tracking that align with our priorities:
AN ACT relating to the Department of Veterans Services; requiring the Director of the Department to establish and maintain a program to assist veterans and servicemen and servicewomen in transitioning to life as civilians; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
Existing law imposes certain requirements concerning coverage of telehealth services by insurers and certain other third-party payers. Those requirements: (1) include a requirement that an insurer or other third-party payer must cover services provided through telehealth to the same extent as if provided in person or by other means; and (2) apply to health coverage, including Medicaid and health plans for state and local government employees, and workers’ compensation coverage. This bill: (1) extends those requirements to also apply to behavioral health services provided by standard telephone; and (2) requires coverage of behavioral health services provided by telehealth in the same amount as if those services were provided in person or by other means.
AN ACT relating to health care; requiring the Department of Health and Human Services to establish an electronic tool to analyze certain data concerning access to telehealth; requiring certain entities to review access to services provided through telehealth and evaluate policies to make such access more equitable; revising provisions governing services provided through telehealth and insurance coverage of such services.
AN ACT relating to health care; authorizing the Patient Protection Commission to request certain reports from a state or local governmental entity; requiring the Department of Health and Human Services to establish an all-payer claims database containing information relating to health insurance claims for benefits provided in this State; requiring certain insurers to submit data to the database
relating to behavioral health to an applicant who meets certain requirements; requiring licensing boards that regulate such professions to report certain information;
AN ACT relating to behavioral health; providing for the certification of peer recovery support specialists and peer recovery support specialist supervisors; requiring a peer recovery support specialist or peer recovery support specialist supervisor to report certain information.
AN ACT relating to mental health; providing for the establishment of a program to provide training concerning the identification of persons who have certain behavioral health conditions; providing for the reporting of information relating to distance education and the effects of distance education on the mental health of pupils and teachers.
his bill applies the standard of “the greatest extent practicable” to the performance of all these duties of the Administrator except the submission of the biennial report. Existing law also authorizes the Administrator to: (1) adopt regulations necessary to carry out his or her powers and duties; (2) provide certain training and technical assistance regarding grant procurement, coordination and management; and (3) provide administrative support to the Nevada Advisory Council on Federal Assistance. (NRS 232.224) This bill additionally authorizes the Administrator to develop and maintain a manual of policies and procedures relating to grant procurement, coordination and management for state agencies.
AN ACT relating to workforce development; revising requirements governing the approval of a program of workforce development by the Office of Economic Development; revising provisions governing the administration of the Workforce Innovations for a New Nevada Account
AN ACT relating to offenders; revising provisions governing certain programs of treatment for offenders established by the Director of the Department of Corrections.
AN ACT relating to financial administration; revising provisions relating to the powers and duties of the Office of Grant Procurement, Coordination and Management in the Department of Administration; requiring certain agencies to provide certain notice to the Office regarding grants applied for or received by the agency.
AN ACT relating to offenders; transferring the duty to issue photo identification cards to offenders from the Department of Corrections to the Department of Motor Vehicles; establishing procedures relating to processing applications for and the delivery of photo identification cards to offenders; requiring the Director of the Department of Corrections to provide an offender with an application for a photo identification card and information and assistance relating to acquiring a valid driver’s license or identification card at least 4 months before the release of the offender.
AN ACT relating to disability services; requiring the Department of Health and Human Services to seek an increase to certain reimbursement rates under the Medicaid program and the Autism Treatment Assistance Program for a registered behavior technician.
AN ACT relating to Medicaid; authorizing a recipient of Medicaid to receive reimbursements for personal care services; suspending eligibility for Medicaid of a person who is incarcerated to the extent possible
